Letters From My Chalet by Joanne Morris Okano

I live in a hut
At the back
Of a house
Say the neighbours
(Or a hovel
If they're feeling down)
But to me
It's a chalet
On the top
Of a mount
In Switzerland
And I am the queen
Of the mountain.
People come by.

I know the Church
Is true
And I'm glad
I'm a member.
(This is an old poem before
 I went to the synagogue.)
